How to Send a Surprise Love Note

The simplest fix is to separate writing from delivery. Write the note whenever the thought hits you, then let it sit until a moment your partner didn't see coming.

If you know their schedule, aim for a lull: after a meeting they were dreading, mid-commute, right before they'd usually check their phone out of boredom rather than need.

Not for a specific calendar date yet. You can choose instant or surprise delivery within your partner's set hours, which is closer to 'sometime today' than 'exactly at 9am on the 14th.'
What happens if they don't open it right away?
It just waits. The note sits in their mailbox until they open it, and the widget keeps showing it's there without giving anything away.
