How do we pair our phones?
One person opens the Us tab, creates an invitation, and shares the code. The other joins once. Codes expire after 24 hours, and a mailbox already paired with someone cannot join a second pair.
Do I need an account or email?
No. There is no email or password. Lovebeam connects two phones with a single-use invitation. Your phone keeps a private device credential in the iOS Keychain. Read the privacy page.
Can anyone else read our notes?
Notes travel to our server over HTTPS so they can be scheduled and delivered while the apps are closed. We do not claim end-to-end encryption: the server can read note content to run the mailbox. Push alerts never include the words inside a note. It is a private space for two people, not a public feed.
What is free, and what needs a subscription?
Your first two notes as a pair send for free. After that, sending notes, sharing wishes, and changing shared plans need one annual subscription for the couple. One partner can buy; both get access. Inviting, joining, browsing, private drafts, reading notes, and reactions stay free at every stage.
What about private notes and the wishlist?
Ordinary love notes are always there. Eyes-only notes and the shared wishlist need both of you to opt in; either person can pause anytime. Ideas start privately on your phone; shared wishes move at your pace, from curiosity to plans to little memories.
What if we unpair or change phones?
Either person can unpair in Us → Privacy & mailbox. That ends the connection and removes exchanged notes and shared wishes from the server, while keeping your identity and private drafts. Lost a phone? Create a one-use recovery code on the phone that still has access. Open support.
